Shiloh Pierceton is Awarded Ford Q1 Preferred Quality Status
PIERCETON, Indiana, October 3, 2016 – Ford Motor Company has awarded Shiloh Industries, (NASDAQ: SHLO) Pierceton Indiana facility their prestigious Q1 Preferred Quality Award. The Q1 Award, Ford’s highest mark for supplier excellence, recognizes Shiloh Pierceton for their exceptional quality, delivery and service.
“Q1 is more than just a measure of quality,” says Clint Wall, plant manager at Shiloh Pierceton. “It is a reflection of Ford’s confidence in our business management system and overall performance. Our team has worked very hard to achieve this status and should be very proud.”
To earn the award, Shiloh was assessed in multiple areas including manufacturing practices, production, service and delivery. On-going performance requirements, as well as accreditation to external quality and environmental management systems, ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14004, must be in place to maintain the Q1 status. Pierceton joins Shiloh’s Steel Drive and Auburn, Indiana facilities as a Ford Q1 Certified supplier.
